Setup in five minutes

Five minutes from install to first synced call

Three steps. No installer, no on-premise software, no specialist required. Install from your CRM marketplace, connect your 3CX system, place a test call.

What’s in this guide

Four steps, end to end

The full install, on one screen.

Each card below is a single step. Step 3 is optional, the rest take about a minute each. If you can tick all four, you’re live and your test call is already in the matching contact’s CRM thread.

1

Install from your CRM marketplace

Open your CRM marketplace and search for 3CX ConnectZero. Click Install. Select the sub-account, or for agencies, install at agency level. Complete the OAuth redirect when prompted. That authorises ConnectZero to read and write data in the selected location.

ConnectZero is now installed and available from your CRM app menu.

2

Connect your 3CX system

From your CRM app menu, open the ConnectZero portal. Go to Settings > 3CX Connection. Enter your 3CX FQDN (including https://) and your 3CX API user credentials. Click Test Connection and wait for the green tick.

No green tick? Double-check the FQDN, credentials, and API user roles. See licence requirements.

3
Optional

Map extensions

By default, every 3CX extension syncs as its own CRM user. No configuration required.

If you’d rather bind specific extensions to specific CRM users, go to Settings > Extensions, choose Map, and bind each 3CX extension to the CRM user who owns it.

Entirely optional and reversible.

4

Place a test call

Make a call on any 3CX extension. Within about ten seconds, the call appears in the matching CRM contact’s conversation thread, with the recording attached once 3CX has finalised the audio.

If you have a workflow filter matching the call, the workflow runs automatically.

That’s it. You’re live.

If something doesn’t behave

Common gotchas, in order of likelihood.

If a test call doesn’t show up in the CRM, or you see an authentication error during connection, run through these in order. Most issues are one of the first three.

1

No calls appearing

Check the API user has the Recording Manager role and that call recording is switched on for the extensions you expect to see. See the troubleshooting guide for the exact role checklist.

2

Authentication errors

Make sure the FQDN includes https:// and the API user password is current. Passwords are visible in clear text in the field while you type, so a paste with a trailing space is a common cause.

3

Hosted or Express tier issues

See the 3CX licence requirements page, hosted-tier section, for the workaround. Some hosted configurations restrict API authentication and need a small adjustment first.

4

Anything else

Email support@connectzero.app with your CRM location ID, the call time with timezone, and a one-line description of what you expected versus what happened. We reply within a working day.

Common questions

Three quick questions about setup.

Quick answers to the questions teams ask before installing. If yours isn’t here, our Adelaide team replies inside a working day.

Do I need to deploy anything inside our network?

No. ConnectZero is fully hosted. It connects outbound to your 3CX system's public API endpoint over HTTPS. You don't need to open any new inbound ports or run anything on-premise.

Can I undo the install?

Yes. Uninstall from the marketplace at any time. Billing stops on the next cycle, and all the workflow triggers and actions cleanly remove themselves.

Where can I see the full setup guide with screenshots?

The full setup guide walks every step with screenshots, including the OAuth redirect, the 3CX Connection settings screen, and the test-call confirmation.

Five minutes. One install. Done.

Open your CRM marketplace, search for ConnectZero, and follow the four steps above. If you’d like a walk-through, email Auswide and we’ll book a screen-share.
