Get Connect Zero running in seven steps.

Most tenants are syncing within ten minutes. No on-premise installer, no specialist required. Each step below has its own anchor so you can jump straight to wherever you are in the install.

What to have ready

Sign up and log in

Create a Connect Zero tenant from the trial signup. Multi-tenant signup, no credit card required for the 30-day trial.

You get a fresh isolated tenant, a Stripe subscription on the trial plan, and your own logged-in dashboard within sixty seconds.

By the end of step 1 you should see the Connect Zero dashboard with all seven left-side menu items.

Connect your ConnectWise account

In Settings > ConnectWise, enter your ConnectWise Manage site URL, the company ID, and the API user public and private key pair.

Connect Zero stores credentials encrypted at rest. The API user needs read and write scopes on Service, Procurement, Time Recording, Members and Locations. If you do not already have an API user, create one in ConnectWise under System > Members > API Members, five-minute job.

Connect your Xero accounts

In Settings > Xero, click Connect Xero. You will be redirected to Xero to authorise Connect Zero against the organisations you select.

You can connect more than one Xero organisation from a single Connect Zero tenant. Useful for MSPs whose ConnectWise locations bill into different Xero books. Tokens refresh automatically, you can revoke from Xero any time.

Configure location mapping

In Settings > Locations, each ConnectWise location appears with two toggles, one for invoice sync, one for procurement sync. Enable the locations you want syncing.

If you have multiple Xero organisations, set the default Xero organisation per location for invoices and procurements separately. Different locations can post into different Xero orgs.

Set sync preferences

In Settings > Schedule, review the default cron expressions per job family (invoices, procurements, payments, time entries, reference data). Defaults are fine for most tenants. If your billing cycle has a particular cadence, tune them now.

In Settings > Notifications, enter the email addresses for the hourly error report and daily summary. Add Twilio credentials if you want SMS payroll alerts.

Start syncing

From the dashboard, hit Force-sync on the invoice family. The first run posts any pending ConnectWise invoices into Xero. Open the Logs tab to watch the requests and responses land.

Once you have seen one good cycle, the scheduled job picks up from there. Force-sync stays available for the times you need an immediate push.

Review logs and use force-sync as needed

The Logs dashboards, one per integration surface, capture every sync attempt. Filter by location, by date, by status. If anything fails, the hourly error report will email you with the specifics.

Skip-invoice is on the invoice row in the dashboard, one click marks an invoice as not-for-Xero. Reversible.

Do I need to deploy anything inside our network?

No. Connect Zero is fully hosted. It connects outbound to your ConnectWise Manage site and to Xero over HTTPS.

Can I cancel during the trial?

Yes. Cancel from the dashboard during the 30-day trial and you are not billed.

What happens if my ConnectWise or Xero credentials change?

Update them in Settings. Sync resumes on the next scheduled run.

Can I impersonate a tenant for support?

Auswide IT support staff can read-only impersonate a tenant via a token-based system for diagnostics. Impersonation actions are logged.
