Connect Zero vs WiseSync

Two AU-facing options for syncing ConnectWise Manage to Xero. Different shapes, different tradeoffs. This page lays out the differences plainly so you can pick the one that fits your stack.

Side-by-side, the load-bearing differences

Honest comparison. Where WiseSync is stronger, the table says so. Where Connect Zero is stronger, same. Pick what fits.

Comparison reflects publicly available product documentation at the time of writing. WiseSync may have changed since. If we have got something wrong on this page, email hello@connectzero.com.au and we will correct it.

Where WiseSync might suit you better

We are not pretending to be the right product for every MSP. If you are running a stack we do not support, or you need a feature we do not have, WiseSync (or another option) may suit you better.

You are not on ConnectWise Manage

If your PSA is Autotask, Halo or another, this product is not for you. WiseSync or one of its peers may have a connector that fits your stack.

You are on a global stack, not AU-specific

If you are an enterprise MSP running multi-region operations with non-AU tax handling as the primary requirement, WiseSync may have broader regional coverage. Our AU-focused build is a feature, not a bug, for AU MSPs.

You need a feature we do not have

Some niche needs (e.g. bespoke accounting workflows, integrations with non-Xero engines) are outside our scope. Ask us first; if we cannot help, we will say so.

Why MSPs choose Connect Zero over WiseSync

The table above is even-handed. Here is the direct case for Connect Zero, anchored to concrete capabilities rather than positioning. If your problem is ConnectWise Manage into Xero and nothing else, these are the reasons MSPs pick Connect Zero.

Near real-time record sync

Invoices, procurements, payments and credits sync from ConnectWise Manage to Xero on a default six-hour cycle, configurable to hourly, with force-sync on any individual record from the dashboard. You are not waiting on a once-a-day batch to find a missed invoice.

Location and department mapping built in

Connect Zero maps ConnectWise locations and departments to the right Xero organisation and tracking categories in the base product. Multi-entity MSPs route each location to its own Xero org without an upgrade tier or a bespoke services engagement.

Transparent pricing, no lock-in

Connect Zero offers transparent per-deployment pricing with no per-seat fee and no lock-in, so the finance team knows what to budget without a drawn-out quote process. Contact us for ConnectWise to Xero pricing.

No lock-in

Cancel by uninstalling. No minimum term, no 30-day written notice. If Connect Zero stops earning its place, you remove it the same day.

Australian support, named humans

Support comes from the Adelaide team in Australian business hours. The person who built the customer-matching engine answers the customer-matching question, with no offshore level-two handoff.

Purpose-built for one pairing

Connect Zero does ConnectWise Manage to Xero and only that pairing. Fewer moving parts, a guided half-day setup, and clear visibility into what happens at each step. WiseSync is the broader option if you also run Autotask or QuickBooks Online.

Connect Zero vs WiseSync: common questions

Is Connect Zero better than WiseSync for MSPs?

For an MSP whose stack is ConnectWise Manage into Xero, Connect Zero is the stronger fit on the things that matter day to day: near real-time sync with force-sync on demand, location and department mapping in the base product, transparent pricing with no per-seat fee, and cancel-by-uninstall with no lock-in. WiseSync is the better answer for MSPs running a mixed accounting estate that also needs Autotask or QuickBooks Online, where its broader connector coverage earns its place.

How much does Connect Zero cost compared with WiseSync?

Connect Zero offers transparent per-deployment pricing with no per-seat fee. Contact us for ConnectWise to Xero pricing. WiseSync pricing is quote-based and not currently published since the WisePay consolidation, so a like-for-like number requires a sales call.

Does Connect Zero handle location and department mapping?

Yes. Connect Zero maps ConnectWise locations and departments to Xero organisations and tracking categories as a standard feature, with multi-Xero-organisation routing included rather than gated behind a higher tier. A multi-entity MSP can send each location to the correct Xero org from the base product.

How fast does Connect Zero sync ConnectWise invoices to Xero?

Connect Zero syncs on a default six-hour cycle that is configurable down to hourly, and you can force-sync any individual record from the dashboard the moment you need it. A sync failure raises an exception alert email inside the next cycle rather than waiting for a daily digest.

Can I switch from WiseSync to Connect Zero?

Yes. Run WiseSync and Connect Zero in parallel on the same ConnectWise to Xero pairing until the two reconcile cleanly, then cut over. Most MSPs do this over a single weekend. The WiseSync to Connect Zero migration playbook walks through the seven steps, and the Adelaide team can help with customer-matching and tax-mapping settings.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The 30-day trial runs without a credit card, with enough time to sync a representative batch of ConnectWise invoices into a Xero entity and reconcile the result before you commit.
